We drove from Disney to The Keys. We stayed in Islamorada at the Futura Yacht Club. It was quite a change from the first two weeks of our trip -- there were only a few other families there that week and we took it easy. If you have QuickTime, you'll be able to 'move' two of the above photos and see a larger panorama. One of them is a 360 degree view which took a few minutes to shoot and a few hours on the computer to put together and the result justifies every minute of it.

The drive from Islamorada to Key West is one of the most beautiful rides on the planet. You pass small islands and bridges and over the Seven Mile Bridge and eventually make it to the end of US-1 and the Southernmost Point in the Continental United States. We went on a tour, did some shopping and topped off the day with sunset at Mallory Square.

I've always loved Key West but this time we spent a week in Islamorada in the upper Keys. As we were in a condo-apartment, we got to go to the local supermarket and eat a few home-cooked meals. We spent the rest of the week taking it easy and explored the area north and south of us. We went kayaking at John Pennecamp State Park in Key Largo - don't miss it if you're in the area. They have an aquarium and lots of activities to keep you busy for a day. Though Key West has grown over the years, the upper Keys still have that small town feel to it. We'll be back!
